Muhammad Iqbal Najm

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

With over 20 years of dedicated experience in the water treatment industry, Muhammad Iqbal Najm has taken Surface Chemicals from an ambitious startup to one of Pakistan's trusted names in industrial water technology.

His hands-on approach — combining deep chemistry expertise with a rigorous engineering mindset — has shaped a company culture where every plant is treated as a bespoke problem to solve, not a template to replicate. Under his leadership, Surface Chemicals has grown by focusing on three principles: uncompromising product quality, technically honest advice, and long-term partnership with every client.

From selecting the world's most reliable membranes to specifying Italian dosing systems and NSF-certified chemistries, Iqbal's standards define how the company builds and how it serves.

"Water is the most important process input in any industry. Treat it seriously, and everything downstream gets easier."
